Phlebotomy
Our program offers comprehensive, hands-on training to prepare you for immediate entry into the healthcare workforce. We go beyond traditional phlebotomy training by incorporating Electrocardiogram (EKG) certification and Lab Assistant skills, making you versatile and competitive in various clinical settings.
- Phlebotomy Training: Learn proper venipuncture, capillary collection techniques, non-blood specimens collection procedures, safety protocols, infection control, and specimen handling. Gain real-world experience through classroom instruction, hands-on lab practice, and a supervised clinical externship.
- EKG Training: Gain hands-on experience in performing and interpreting basic electrocardiograms. Learn cardiac anatomy and physiology, lead placement, EKG machine operation, and abnormal rhythms recognition—essential skills for hospital and outpatient care environments.
- Lab Assistant Skills: Develop essential laboratory support skills, including specimen processing, centrifugation, labeling, data entry, POCT, and quality control, enhancing your role as a key member of any clinical laboratory team.
Graduates are eligible to sit for national certification exams and are well-prepared for positions in hospitals, outpatient labs, physician offices, and diagnostic centers. Adding EKG and Lab Assistant skills opens doors to broader opportunities and career advancement in allied health.
