The Nursing Assistant program is an approved training course by the Oregon State Board of Nursing to prepare you to perform basic nursing and patient care. The curriculum consists of healthcare team collaboration, communication, cultural aspects, infection prevention, safety and emergency procedures, activities of daily living, mental health and social services needs, technical skills, observation and reporting, documentation, and end-of-life care.

Upon successful completion of this non-credit course, you will be prepared to apply for the Oregon State Board of Nursing certification exam for nursing assistant.
