OSU-Bound Students
If you want to be an OSU Beaver and dual-enroll with LBCC, you will fill out a single application that will simultaneously admit you to OSU and LBCC.
To find out if you are eligible to apply, read the OSU admissions requirements. If it turns out that you are not yet eligible, it's easy to get started at LBCC and then apply to DPP after completing 24 graded transferable credits, completing your basic writing class (WR 121z) with a grade of C or better, completing either MTH 105z or MTH 111z with a grade of C or better, and earning a minimum GPA of 2.25.
This application will require the regular OSU application fee (currently $65). See OSU's undergraduate admission deadlines for more information.

Ready to become a DPP student? It’s free to add!
Here are step-by-step instructions for students who are enrolled and taking classes at OSU.
If you are admitted for a future term and you would like to add DPP to your student account, log in to your Beaver Basecamp Portal. In the tools bar on the right side of the portal, look for the "Add DPP" button.
Here are the key steps to getting financial aid while dual-enrolled.
- Choose which school will be awarding your financial aid. We call this the “home school.”
There are several things to consider with this decision, and you can check out OSU's Degree Partnership Financial Aid for more information.
- Some key points to keep in mind:
- It’s possible to change your home school before each term, but it’s best to choose it once in the fall and leave it, since you will have to be re-awarded an aid package each time you change it. If you need to change your home school, send us an email (see above) with this request (include your OSU 9-number).
- You need to take at least one credit per term at your home school.
- If you’re starting in on your 300- or 400-level courses at OSU, then you must choose OSU as your home school because LBCC cannot award aid for upper-division course work.
- Some key points to keep in mind:
- Make sure that your home school is listed on your FAFSA. If you need to edit your FAFSA to add it, that’s no problem! OSU’s school code is 003210, and LBCC’s is 006938.
- Once you have a home school, our financial aid offices will share information on how many credits you are registered for at each school, and your aid package will be based on your total credits.
- Our billing systems are not connected, so you need to remember to pay your bill at whichever institution is not your home school. You might have a refund from financial aid at your home school, which you can use to pay your bill at the other school.
If you are a DPP student and plan on taking classes at OSU for the first time, you will be required to attend an OSU orientation. Throughout the summer, there will be both first year and transfer STARTs for students beginning at OSU in the fall. Check out OSU's New Student Programs for more information and the schedule of sessions. Between terms, there are also orientation sessions available if you are planning to start winter or spring terms at OSU.
At orientation, you will learn about valuable resources available to you at OSU, receive academic advising, and register for OSU classes. LBCC's staff will also be available to assist you in registering for LBCC classes and to answer questions.
If you are planning to take all of your courses at LBCC for your first term, you are still encouraged to attend OSU's orientation. It's a good opportunity to connect with your OSU advisor and learn more about your major. However, you are welcome to participate in LBCC's new student session if you'd prefer. As part of LBCC's new student session, our staff will help you with registering for courses. Please email us (see above) with your name and LBCC ID number and request to sign up for an LBCC new student session.

The short answer is: as soon as you are eligible. This way, if OSU's programs change some of their requirements, you will not have to re-take classes. As a DPP student, you are an OSU student and will earn catalog rights once you have taken your first credit at OSU.
At the very latest, you should apply about a month prior to the start of the term you'd like to begin taking classes at OSU.
When applying, request any official transcripts to be sent to OSU for all of your college course work (all official transcripts need to come directly from the school that awarded the credits regardless if LBCC has received/evaluated them). LBCC will not automatically send transcripts to OSU for the application process; they need to be requested. If you completed the foreign language requirement by taking two years of foreign language in high school, you will need to have your official high school transcripts sent to OSU as well.
OSU evaluates all DPP applications. For transfer students, OSU is looking at the following criteria:
- Completed 24 transferable, college-level credits
- Completed WR 121z with a grade of C or better
- Completed MTH 105z or MTH 111z with a grade of C or better***
- Earn a GPA of 2.25 or higher
***While completion of college-level math is strongly recommended, transfer students may be admitted to OSU without math if they have met all other requirements with at least a 2.50+ transfer GPA. Once admitted to Degree Partnership, a college-level math course must be completed within the first 45 credits.
OSU will notify students of admission once they have evaluated all transcripts. This can take four to six weeks. Keep an eye out on the email used to set up the application. If OSU feels your application is incomplete (for example, they have not received official transcripts from a school), they will send you an email requesting the required information.
All OSU students are required to pay this fee the first term they enroll in classes at OSU.
Fee payment information can be found on OSU's Student Finance Frequently Asked Questions.
You must sign up to attend an orientation session prior to the term that you are planning on taking classes at OSU. During the summer, there are several START orientation sessions for transfer students. Between terms, there will be at least one session as well. During the orientation, you will learn about transitional resources at OSU, meet with an OSU advisor, and receive a PIN which will be required to register for any OSU classes. Learn more at OSU's START.
See your LBCC advisor regularly! Meeting with an OSU advisor at our office is another great way to be reassured that you are on-track. Following the catalog plan of study for an AS degree will also ensure that your courses transfer to OSU. We also have some transfer guides that can be used as an additional reference, although there is no substitute for meeting with your advisor.
