The Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) program at LBCC is designed to teach you how to bring an idea into reality, beginning with hand-drafting and sketching and working up to using industry software. The CADD program uses project-based learning, an innovative approach that teaches a multitude of strategies critical for success. You drive your own learning through inquiry as well as work collaboratively to research and create projects that reflect your knowledge. From gleaning new technology skills to becoming proficient communicators and advanced problem solvers, you directly benefit from this approach to instruction.

In the program, you will use state of the art computers and software, 3D printers, a CNC milling machine, and laser cutters/engravers. Our instructors have industry experience, which makes LBCC's CADD program unique; they know firsthand what companies are looking for and what skills students will need to be successful in this field.
