LBCC's music program is the only community college program to offer four different
degrees in music. Our comprehensive program will prepare you for the next step in
your musical journey. Whether it's transferring to a university or beginning a career,
we are here to help you achieve your goals.
Music Emphasis, Associate of Science
This two-year degree is designed for students planning to transfer to Oregon State
University to pursue a degree in Music. Students interested in this option are strongly
encouraged to enroll in the Degree Partnership Program.
Music Education Emphasis, Associate of Science
This two-year degree is designed for students planning to transfer to Oregon State
University to pursue a degree in Music Education. Students interested in this option
are strongly encouraged to enroll in the Degree Partnership Program.
Music Production Emphasis, Associate of Science
This two-year degree is designed for students planning to transfer to Oregon State
University to pursue a degree in Music Production. Students interested in this option
are strongly encouraged to enroll in the Degree Partnership Program.
Transfer to Any Oregon University Music Program, Associate of Arts
This two-year degree provides the opportunity to gain a solid musical foundation and
transfer to a music program at any university in Oregon. Work with your advisor to
select the best courses for your transfer destination.

Musician Health and Safety
We care about your health and safety as you practice and perform. Performing too much
or with improper technique can be detrimental to your progress and could have long-term
consequences that could impact your career. To help offset these issues, we ask that
you please listen to your instructor about technique and form. We also are providing
you with these links from the National Association of Schools of Music that help detail
what to watch for and how to perform safely and effectively.
Ensembles
LBCC is home to several choral and instrumental music ensembles, representing a variety
