Geology

Do you enjoy working outside? Are you interested in natural hazards, energy resources, or cleaning up the environment? If so, a geology degree may be for you.

Earth is a geologist's laboratory. They study the process of rock formation, climate evolution and change, mountain-building, land surface evolution, and mineral resource creation over the planet’s 4.6 billion-year history.

The geology transfer program at LBCC prepares you to complete your studies at Oregon State University, which is ranked as one of the best places to study geology. This program also opens the door to a variety of careers where qualified candidates are in high demand.
