Journalism
This program provides you with a strong foundation in journalistic practices, from reporting and photography to writing and editing. In addition, we maintain a co-curricular relationship with The Commuter, LBCC's award-winning student newspaper, in order to offer hands-on training opportunities to first- and second-year students.
Award-winning Student Newspaper
The Commuter is a weekly student-run newspaper for Linn-Benton Community College, and is financed by student fees and advertising. Opinions expressed in The Commuter do not necessarily reflect those of the LBCC administration, faculty, and associated students of LBCC. Editorials, columns, letters, and cartoons reflect the opinions of the authors.
