Esther Manzano -Lopez, President Hello! I’m Esther, the president of Estudiantes Del Sol and a second-year psychology
student. Passionate about mental health, I strive to make a positive impact in the
field. As president, I organize events, listen to members' feedback, and empower their
voices. Outside of school, I enjoy reading books across various genres, watching movies
in theaters, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
Cody Islas-Santos, Marketing Coordinator Hi, I'm Cody Islas-Santos, the Marketing Coordinator for Estudiantes Del Sol. I'm
a first-year Graphic Design major at LBCC with a passion for all forms of art and
the creativity they express. In my role, I create flyers, assist with events, and
manage our Instagram account. Outside of the club, I enjoy playing video games, listening
to music, and have recently started hitting the gym!
Nancy Jimenez, Outreach and Retention Hi! I’m Nancy, the Outreach and Retention Manager for Estudiantes Del Sol. I’m a second-year
student majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences, with a focus on Human Services.
In my role, I work to spread the word about the club, recruit new members, and foster
strong engagement by promoting our activities and maintaining connections with current
members. Outside of school, I love spending time in nature, playing soccer, enjoying
matcha, and appreciating flowers.

Your Path to Financial Wellness Starts Here!
The Financial Wellness Presentation, hosted by Estudiantes del Sol and Institutional
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in collaboration, was a success! Students learned
valuable strategies for building strong credit and managing budgets to improve their
financial health. This event provided essential tools for empowering participants
to take control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term success.
Boost Your Success with Study Jam and Potluck
The Study Jam and Potluck event, hosted by Estudiantes del Sol, was a fantastic success!
Students came together to study, share a meal, and learn valuable tips from a presentation
by LBCC Academic Coaching. The session provided effective study strategies to help
students succeed academically.

Our Student Club Meetings are the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow students,
share ideas, and get involved in exciting activities! At each meeting, we kick things
off with an icebreaker game of Lotería where friendly competition and fun come together.

United States Hispanic Leader Conference in Chicago
A group of our students had the incredible opportunity to attend the United States
Hispanic Leader Conference in Chicago! This conference brought together influential
leaders and emerging voices to discuss important issues impacting the Latino community.
Our students gained valuable insights, networked with professionals, and left inspired
to make a difference in their communities.
