Closure Information

All college closure decisions are made and broadcast by 6:00am.

In the event of an unplanned closure, an announcement will be displayed across the website, students and employees who signed up for text alerts will be notified via their selected phone number, and local radio and television stations will be informed.

A closure does not necessarily mean that a class is canceled.

Whether or not a class is held remotely (even if that class is typically held face-to-face) is up to the instructor. Please check with each of your instructors on a closure day to see if they are holding class that day.

Receive Alerts When LBCC Closes

Students and employees, you can receive text alerts to your cell phone when LBCC unexpectedly needs to close. Just provide your phone number in Webrunner.

  • Log into Webrunner
  • Select the "Personal Information" tab and then "Personal Information"
  • In the "Phone Number" block, select "Add New"
  • Under "Phone Type," select "Emergency Text Alerts" and then add your phone number
  • Select "Add" at the bottom
