LBCC Liberal Arts Focus Award
This three-course program is designed for individuals interested in developing their skills in critical thinking, communication, and synthesizing multiple perspectives–-skills that employers highly value, even in technical fields. LBCC is a nationally recognized community college for its work in providing liberal arts skills as part of our general education pathway.
Award recipients will acquire a foundation in skills associated with the liberal arts
such as problem solving, critical analysis, creativity, strong writing, effective communication,
and perspective--taking to support a rewarding and successful career as well as civic life.

Note: To qualify for the LBCC Liberal Arts Focus Award, you must complete at least three of the above courses with the "Cornerstone" attribute.
All Cornerstone classes include discussion-based learning and a chance to connect your ideas with ideas that have shaped culture, art, and politics throughout history.
