Linn-Benton Community Literacy Partnership Selected as an Honorable Mention for the 2022 ACRL-OR Award for Excellence

The Award for Excellence is given biennially and recognizes projects that "demonstrate excellence in the field by significantly improving Oregon academic libraries or librarianship." This year, nominations were evaluated for their impact on a community, scalability of the project to be adapted by others, and connection to the ACRL-OR mission.

From Emily Ford, President of ACRL-OR:

"The award evaluators were impressed by the wide-ranging impact your award has already had in your community. The partnership you established between the Adult Basic Skills Department and the Library is a shining example of what academic libraries and community colleges can do for the communities in and around their institutions. The testimonials included in the nomination for your project, I’m sure, are just the tip of the iceberg of the positive stories coming from your work on this project.

Your work exemplifies creativity and leadership in our profession, and your dedication to your community."

The Linn-Benton Community Literacy Partnership will be highlighted at the Fall 2022 ACRL-OR/WA Joint Conference at Menucha in October.
