Angie Klampe Awarded for Excellence
November 23, 2021
Linn-Benton Community College is thrilled to announce that College Advisor Angie Klampe has won the American Association for Women in Community Colleges Carolyn DesJardins Leadership Award! The award is in honor of Dr. Carolyn DesJardins, who spent over 25 years empowering and positively changing the lives of over 3,000 people.
This award is given to one outstanding recipient each year who has shown great leadership and has made outstanding contributions in her work and community. As an advisor/counselor at LBCC, Angie works hard to ensure education is accessible for all our students.
“Angie Klampe was nominated by our AAWCC LBCC chapter Executive Board for this prestigious award because many of us have experienced first hand what a wonderful, thoughtful and giving person she is and the positive impact she has on our students,” said LBCC Recruitment Assistant Claudia Davila. “She deserves this recognition.”
This is not the first time an outstanding LBCC employee took home this particular award; Sheri McIntyre from the LBCC Learning Center was presented with this award last year in recognition of her service.
“We have some pretty special and fabulous co-workers here at LBCC!” said LBCC Academic Foundations Assistant Jo Ann Yonemura.
