LBCC Unveils a New Brand Identity
Linn-Benton Community College is rolling out a new brand identity to express its character and purpose, including its commitment to opportunity, excellence, inclusiveness, learning, and engagement.
Founded to serve the entire bi-county region, LBCC proudly invites those communities
to share in the excitement of the new brand.
Strategic objectives of LBCC for 2018-19 included building awareness and support for
the college’s identity and aspirations. To that end, LBCC engaged in a comprehensive
rebranding with Corvallis-based creative firm Madison Ave. Collective. The new identity
is the result of an extensive research phrase overseen by the college’s Office of
Institutional Advancement, guided by a 20-member task force, and informed by the input
of hundreds of faculty, staff, and students.
The new logo mark is inspired by the hyphen between “Linn” and “Benton,” connecting
the two words, as well as the campuses, cities, programs, and communities they represent.
Meanwhile, the college’s Roadrunner mascot gives the hyphen forward-motion while representing
progress toward goals. LBCC is committed to student success and inclusion; the new
logo expresses this.
“With a modern visual identity and new messaging tools to effectively communicate
our strengths, I am confident we have positioned LBCC to be an even stronger and more
influential community partner for many years to come,” said LBCC President Greg Hamann.
