TITLE: RETAINERS/CONTRACTED SERVICES

PURPOSE

To establish parameters for contracted professional services

STATEMENT

At least once every five years the Board shall receive and review contract proposals to provide the following services:

1. Auditor
2. Property, liability, fidelity, and workers' compensation insurance brokerage services
3. Banking services
4. Legal counsel

Unless there are compelling reasons to do so, no outside college service shall have a contract that extends beyond five years. Any exceptions must be approved by the Clerk or Deputy Clerk and reported to the Board.

The review required in this policy in no way restricts the Board from extending contracts or reviewing them more frequently when appropriate.
