Title: Apprenticeable Trades Training
Related training program services, content, and length shall be coordinated with requirements of the joint apprenticeship training committee of each trade. Performance- based training shall be a priority of the college.
The college will set tuition fees in compliance with Oregon law and provide coverage of apprentices and trainees participating in related training courses. The college shall work toward joint reciprocal agreements to facilitate movement of apprentices.
Consolidation of programs to improve the quality of instruction shall be accomplished when deemed within the best interest of the college in providing quality related training for apprentices. Individualized instruction shall be utilized as a priority in meeting the needs of apprentices in low enrollment situations. Alternatives for providing related training shall be sought if any individual course enrollment drops below Linn-Benton Community College minimum standards.
College staff will work cooperatively with local apprenticeship committees on issues
related to apprenticeship education. Course content, class scheduling, and distance
education are topics on which the college will solicit apprenticeship committee advice
and recommendations.
