The Performing Arts Department assists students in meeting their general education requirements as well as preparing theater and music majors for transfer to university.

Theater Arts and Music instructors offer both campus and off-campus opportunties to participate in activities that prepare students for work and further study after graduation.

In addition, we serve the community-at-large, providing numerious opportunities in life-skills learning and  participation in  performance activities.

kcactf Linn Benton Community College participates annually in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KC/ACTF). Through regional and national festivals, KCACTF participants celebrate the creative process, see one another's work, and share experiences and insights within the community of theater artists. The KCACTF honors excellence of overall production and offers student artists individual recognition through awards and scholarships in playwriting, acting, criticism, directing, and design.
