Federal Financial Aid Changes

Congress recently passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), affecting several federal financial aid programs. Learn more about how these changes may affect you.

Spring Term Disbursements

Attention students! Please review the following timeline for your Spring 2026 financial aid:

  • Disbursement Begins: April 7, 2026.
  • Processing Time: Per federal regulations, please allow three business days for the initial disbursement process to complete.
  • Refund Timeline: Once a credit appears on your student account, the Business Office has up to 14 days to issue a refund
  • What to Expect: While the official window is longer, most students typically see their refunds within four business days.

Pro tip: Make sure your direct deposit information is up to date to ensure you receive your funds as quickly as possible!
